New project for Brighton & Hove Bus Co.
Sweet Code have been appointed to design and develop a new Data Feed Manager to automatically extract data from four MS Access databases and feed it to the GoAhead Group‘s new marketing system. The application will be written in PHP and have a web-browser administration interface for:
- encrypted file transfer using SFTP
- run schedules to be maintained. e.g. upload customer data on Mon to Fri at 18:00
- logs to be viewed. e.g. run times, errors
- maintaining feed source and target information. e.g. database, table and field definitions. sftp server and database server log-in details.
The system will include success/exception reporting by email and an authentication process so that only approved staff may access the admin interface.
